YUSHINMON KARATE-DO
Training camp

May 3-5, 2022 at Lake Kawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture

We held the long-awaited 3-day training camp.
From the time we gathered at the bus terminal in Shinjuku, everyone was excited.
For the first time in three years, we were able to hold a camp that we had refrained from due to Corona. With no restrictions on going out, the trip took 3.5 hours from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko.
The dormitories were divided into two. After meeting each other and assigning rooms, the long-awaited training began in the gymnasium.
One-third of the participants were first-timers, so they introduced themselves and announced their enthusiasm for the camp.
On the first day, former Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly member Hiroko Otsu Sensei changed into a dogi and practiced with us.
We all practiced KIHON (the basics) first, and then divided into classes.
Dinner was, as usual, a delicious meal prepared with love by the hostess of the inn.
After dinner, we returned to the gymnasium and continued practicing together.
SOKE himself moved freely throughout the gymnasium to instruct his students.
The three days were truly filled with practice.
Based on the idea that Karatedo is a comprehensive martial art, we trained in KUMITE, KOBUDO, IAIDO, SHOSA, and REIHO.
The alumni and others who came to observe the training were surprised at the richness of the content and depth of the training.
