Announcement of the 2nd Yushinmon American and Caribbean Regional Karate Championship Tournament

On July 18 we will hold the 2nd Pan‑American Championship of Doto Shorinji‑ryu Yūshinmon Karate‑do.
From Japan, Soke and two others will participate to perform demonstrations and serve as judges.
Prior to the tournament, on the 16th and 17th we will conduct kata and kumite training sessions and a meeting to review matters related to judging.
After the tournament, on the 19th and 20th the Soke will lead special training sessions.
We have heard that the local organizers have been making careful preparations for several months. The headquarters will continue to hold detailed remote meetings with the local team, building on the review of last year’s inaugural tournament.

Message from the Soke

On the occasion of the Doto Shorinji-Ryu Karate-Do Yushinmon Pan-American Tournament, I offer my respectful greetings as Soke.

It is deeply meaningful that members of our school gather together in the Dominican Republic to deepen mutual understanding and training. It is also an important opportunity to ensure that the kata of our main tradition are correctly transmitted, and that they are practiced in each region with discipline, unity, and proper respect.

I sincerely hope that the members from the Americas and the Caribbean will strengthen their friendship and fellowship through this tournament, and that they will continue their activities with firm bonds of trust and respect.

In connection with this tournament, we will also hold training for instructors. As Soke, I am committed to further ensuring the proper transmission of the true spirit and techniques of Shorinji-Ryu Karate Yushinmon. I also hope that, through this effort, we may continue to expand our circle of exchange with those who share the same spirit, and contribute to the development of Karate-do.

In closing, I offer my heartfelt wishes for the success of this tournament and for the good health and continued progress of all participants.
